game two is all done – with not so much the result i was looking for. we came out flat to start the game and that’s not how it should be done. we got ourselves in a pretty big hole to start off (at one point it was 21-0 not in our favor) but we ended up gettin some points before half and at halftime the score was 21-8. we got somethings goin for us in the second half, started moving the ball… and a couple turnovers (again, not in our favor) dug us deeper in the whole – a fumble (99 yds) and interception (~70 yds) returned against us for touchdowns.
finding the silver lining… we did come back and make a game out of it. we ended up losing 35-30. and we definately had our chances. those two turnovers in the second half was all the points they were able to get in the second half. and the team really stepped up and came together.
for those who care, i don’t know my exact stats – when i get them i’ll post it on my football page – but i did pretty alright. i got my first touchdown and i got a 2-pt conversion. and it’s always good to get into the endzone. i also played a lil defense this week. that was fun. i started off playin some defensive tackle (d-line on the inside) and got to play some d-end too. i don’t think i did all that bad, and the coach kept puttin me back in, so he must not think i did all that bad either.
all in all, it was a decent game. we should’ve won and i’m not happy we didn’t… but we did make a great attempt to come back and we stayed together as a team, both of which i’m very happy about. next week, we play the league champions from last year. a good team, but not untouchable. it should be interesting to see if the team got the message this week… until next time, i’ll keep ya posted…
